Vice Chairman

Joseph Buckelew became Chairman of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority on October 3, 2001. Prior to this, Mr. Buckelew served as the Chairman of the New Jersey Highway Authority from February 1994. He is the former owner of Buckelew & Associates and is presently President of Commerce Bank/Shore Division and Vice Chairman of Commerce National Insurance Services.

He was Vice President of Seashore Broadcasting Corporation, radio station W.O.B.M. FM, and Vice President of North Shore Broadcasting Corporation W.O.B.M. AM for 30 years.
He was the Chairman of the Ocean County Republican Organization for 20 years.

He is also a former Mayor of Lakewood Township and a former Police Commissioner. Mr. Buckelew is the recipient of numerous awards for his contributions to civic and community organizations and serves as Director on several Boards. Mr. Buckelew is a life-long resident of Lakewood Township.
