
John Duthie (Duh-theē) currently serves as the Political Director/Administrator for three political funds at the Eastern Region of the Laborers International Union of North America (LIUNA), working in New Jersey, Delaware and Puerto Rico. Previously, he worked at Junto Solutions, LLC, a boutique public affairs and campaign solutions company, where he was co-owner.
Prior to opening Junto Solutions, John served as Government Affairs Specialist with the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey (HINJ), a trade association of over 32 research-based pharmaceutical and medical technology companies in New Jersey, based in New Brunswick. He launched the We Work for Health initiative, a broad-based coalition of healthcare stakeholders who highlight the impact of New Jersey’s Life Science Industry.
John has served as an advisor to several legislators, mayors, council members, boards and commissions. He was a member of Governor Phil Murphy’s transition Committee on Labor and Workforce Development. John was appointed to serve on the Ocean Township Planning Board for eight years and is an active member of the Ocean Township Democratic Committee. From 2018 thru 2022, John was appointed to serve by Governor Christie on the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund Authority (NJTTFA), an independent agency of state government whose sole purpose is to finance the annual capital program of the New Jersey Department of Transportation and NJ TRANSIT.
John’s campaign experience is vast. He’s operated as General Consultant, Campaign Manager and Field Director to many key New Jersey Legislative races. He’s worked to elect members of all levels of government; from Presidents & United States Senators to local Mayor’s, he has been part of more than 100 campaigns. Prior to setting roots in New Jersey, John worked on campaigns in Florida, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Michigan.
He is a graduate of James Madison College at Michigan State University with a degree in International Relations.
John is married to Liz, and they live with their son, Gavin and Miniature Schnauzer, Jud, in Ocean Township (Monmouth County).
