HACKENSACK MEADOWLANDS DISTRICT MASTER PLAN UPDATE 2020

The “Hackensack Meadowlands District Master Plan Update 2020” (February 2020) was adopted by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA) on February 6, 2020. The NJSEA is the Authority of the State of New Jersey responsible for the regional planning and zoning of the Hackensack Meadowlands District (District), a 30.3-square-mile area encompassing portions of fourteen municipalities in two counties, including Carlstadt, East Rutherford, Little Ferry, Lyndhurst, Moonachie, North Arlington, Ridgefield, Rutherford, South Hackensack, and Teterboro in Bergen County; and Jersey City, Kearny, North Bergen, and Secaucus in Hudson County. The 2020 Master Plan Update serves as the primary comprehensive planning document for the Hackensack Meadowlands District, and continues established mandates to protect and enhance the Meadowlands environment while promoting economic growth in appropriate areas.
