VIRTUAL PUBLIC HEARING (VIA ZOOM) TO BE HELD ON FEBRUARY 2, 2021 FOR VARIANCE APPLICATION FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT BLOCK 453.01, LOT 5.012 IN THE TOWNSHIP OF NORTH BERGEN, HUDSON COUNTY, NJ
Please take notice that an application for one use variance has been filed with the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA) by Steve Caruso of Quarry Management, for the premises located at 6000 West Side Avenue and identified as Block 453.01, Lot 5.012, in the Township of North Bergen, New Jersey. The subject premises is located within the Hackensack Meadowlands District’s Intermodal A zone. The use variance is sought in connection with the applicant’s proposal to construct a building material yard and facility on the subject premises.
Due to the declared Public Health Emergency, the NJSEA held a virtual public hearing for this matter on November 17, 2020, at which time it was announced that the applicant, in a letter dated November 12, 2020, requested to postpone their testimony and continue the public hearing on December 15, 2020. The NJSEA held a second virtual public hearing on December 15, 2020, at which time it was announced that the applicant, in an email dated December 7, 2020, requested to postpone their testimony and continue the public hearing on January 26, 2021. Subsequent to that hearing, the applicant had requested in an email dated December 21, 2020 to postpone their testimony and continue the public hearing for this matter on February 2, 2021.
The virtual public hearing will be continued on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. using Zoom video conferencing. The physical NJSEA facilities will be closed to the public for the public hearing. VIRTUAL MEADOWLANDS TRANSPORTATION PLANNING BOARD MEETING (VIA ZOOM) TO BE HELD ON JANUARY 20, 2021
Please take notice that a meeting of the Meadowlands Transportation Planning Board (MTPB) is scheduled for Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. to discuss the update of the Meadowlands District Transportation Plan. The MTPB is tasked with overseeing the development of a District-wide Transportation Plan through a consultative process that relies on participation of public and private sector interests.

PUBLIC NOTICE – NOTICE OF ADOPTION
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the NJSEA has adopted new rules and amendments to the NJSEA District Zoning Regulations at N.J.A.C. 19:4-5 and 19:4-9 regarding floodplain management, as detailed in the Notice of Adoption published in the August 19, 2019 edition of the New Jersey Register.
The NJSEA is a participating community in the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and, as such, is required to ensure that its floodplain management rules meet or exceed the minimum requirements of the NFIP (CFR Section 60). FEMA has prepared revised Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) and a revised Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report for Bergen County, New Jersey, which includes the area that encompasses the Hackensack Meadowlands District. As a participating community in the NFIP, the NJSEA is required to amend and add to its floodplain management rules at N.J.A.C. 19:4-9 to reference the new effective FIRM and FIS report, as well as to update its rules to conform with NFIP requirements and NJDEP guidance documents. Therefore, the NJSEA has adopted new rules at 19:4-9.9A, 9.27 and 9.28 and amendments to N.J.A.C. 19:4-5.2, 9.1 through 9.6, 9.8, 9.9, 9.10, 9.11, 9.13, 9.14, 9.18, 9.19, 9.20, 9.22, 9.23, 9.25, and 9.26. Please note that the corresponding Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) will become official on August 28, 2019.

DRAFT HACKENSACK MEADOWLANDS DISTRICT MASTER PLAN UPDATE
Please take notice that the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA) is introducing a “Draft Hackensack Meadowlands District Master Plan Update 2020” (Draft Master Plan), pursuant to N.J.S.A. 5:10A-7(b). Beginning August 5, 2019, the Draft Master Plan will be available for public inspection at the Administrative Offices of the NJSEA, One DeKorte Park Plaza, Lyndhurst, New Jersey. The Draft Master Plan will also be available electronically via the NJSEA website at https://www.njsea.com/2020-master-plan-update/. A six-week public comment period, starting on Monday, August 5, 2019 and ending on Monday, September 16, 2019, will be provided by the NJSEA to receive comments from the public on the Draft Master Plan. Two public hearings to receive comments on the Draft Master Plan will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, beginning at the following times: Public Hearing 1: 10:00 a.m.; and Public Hearing 2: 6:00 p.m. Both public hearings will be held in the Commission Meeting Room of the NJSEA, One DeKorte Park Plaza, Lyndhurst, New Jersey.
