The MTPB is tasked with overseeing the development of a District-wide Transportation Plan through a consultative process that relies on participation of public and private sector interests.

PUBLIC NOTICE REGARDING VARIANCE APPLICATION FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT BLOCK 229, LOT 5, IN THE TOWNSHIP OF LYNDHURST, BERGEN COUNTY, NJ

Please take notice that an application for six bulk variances has been filed with the NJSEA by Valley Brook 1201 SG LLC, for the premises located at 1201 Valley Brook Avenue and identified as Block 229, Lot 5, in the Township of Lyndhurst, New Jersey.  Said premises is located within the District’s Light Industrial A zone.  The six bulk variances are sought in connection with the applicant’s proposal to construct five loading areas and paved vehicular use areas, inclusive of vehicle and trailer parking spaces and maneuvering areas, on the subject premises in the front yard facing Clay Avenue.       

The NJSEA held a virtual public hearing for this matter on July 20, 2021.  The record of the public hearing was left open until the close of business on July 26, 2021, to allow for the submission of certain items that were not presented at the time of the hearing. REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL – INSURANCE BROKERAGE SERVICES

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on May 26, 2021 the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA), will issue a Request for Proposal (“RFP”) to obtain Insurance Brokerage Services.

The Request for Proposal for these services will be available on the NJSEA website at www.njsea.com (Public Bids & Notices) starting at 10:00 AM on May 26, 2021.

Proposals will be received via overnight/express mail or at the NJSEA offices at One DeKorte Park Plaza, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM prevailing time, June 16, 2021. Proposals will not be accepted after 1:00 PM on June 16, 2021.

Notice is hereby given that sealed Proposals will be received on June 15, 2021 by the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority, Solid Waste Division, One DeKorte Park Plaza, Lyndhurst, New Jersey, 07071 (201) 460-1700 for the 10 year lease of the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority Solid Waste Transfer Station/Material Recovery Facility (formerly New Jersey Meadowlands Commission) located in North Arlington, New Jersey.

Proposals will be accepted at the Lyndhurst location until 11:00 A.M. on June 15, 2021. No Proposals will be accepted after that time. Please take notice that an application for one use variance has been filed with the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA) by Steve Caruso of Quarry Management, for the premises located at 6000 West Side Avenue and identified as Block 453.01, Lot 5.012, in the Township of North Bergen, New Jersey. The subject premises is located within the Hackensack Meadowlands District’s Intermodal A zone. The use variance is sought in connection with the applicant’s proposal to construct a building material yard and facility on the subject premises.

Due to the declared Public Health Emergency, the NJSEA held a virtual public hearing for this matter on November 17, 2020, at which time it was announced that the applicant, in a letter dated November 12, 2020, requested to postpone their testimony and continue the public hearing on December 15, 2020. The NJSEA held a second virtual public hearing on December 15, 2020, at which time it was announced that the applicant, in an email dated December 7, 2020, requested to postpone their testimony and continue the public hearing on January 26, 2021. Subsequent to that hearing, the applicant had requested in an email dated December 21, 2020 to postpone their testimony and continue the public hearing for this matter on February 2, 2021.

The virtual public hearing will be continued on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. using Zoom video conferencing.
